Attorney Godic has a B.S.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Women’s Studies. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Godic had a career in finance, working as an options trader on the Chicago Board Options exchange, as well as on an investment team for a financial advisor. 

In law school, Ms. Godic externed for the General Counsel’s office at Cleveland State University and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Ms. Godic also volunteered throughout law school with Legal Aid to screen tenants in housing court and identify qualifying clients for the Right to Council program. Ms. Godic’s first exposure to the criminal justice system came through CSU’s Pretrial Justice Clinic with the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s office. In that role, she worked to gain bond reductions for clients awaiting trial in jail. 

Ms. Godic has worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Cuyahoga County since 2020. Additionally, she was elected to Pepper Pike City Council in 2023. She joined Summit Legal Defenders in October, 2024.
